Writing Chinese Character
Sher got her 1st beating for 2009 by Daddy and it did not go well for us all. I knew at the same time that hub did not want this to happen, I knew deep down in his heart he was sad that he had to resort to such method. I, too wasn't spared either as hub complained that I've been bringing Sher out too often and she did not have time to practice her writing skills. But, at the same time, it was also her 1st Chinese homework assignment from school. She couldn't write 手 (hand in chinese character) properly after upteem times when grandpa, myself and hub guided her and yet she couldn't grasp writing the 衡 (一) ... the results ended up w a slanting or 'flying' 手.
I saw hub's point and effort on why he was being strict w Sher yet I felt 'heartache' when he hit her palm, causing the swell and after the whole episode, sher was crying and wanted me to comfort her. I couldn't be obvious about it and did not want to send mix signal to her. I told her that she must learn how to write properly. Looks like I have to shop around for workbook for practicing chinese character for sher. So far, the emphasis was more for English than Mandarin.. she needs to brush up on the language
