Updates of my little girl
I know it's been a long time since my last post and I've not been diligent with sher's update. I'm pleased to say she's been growing up a fair bit.. not exactly physically but she's been more thoughtful and volunteered to help us in certain household chores, eg. changing the bedding, washing her cup, cleaning the table after meals. But all these really depend on her mood of the day. But she always suprised me with little thoughtful gesture like pouring me a cup of water after food and like an adult, asking me to drink it up.
As for her writing skills, she has improved progressively. I bought some assessment books to allow her to practise her chinese writing as well as english alphabets. Her school is also enforcing them with phonics and it's really helpful that she's learning to recognise new words when she reads. And I also try to break up longer words for easy pronounciation.
She is full of imagination, cooking up mini-stories and likes to talk to me about what she wanna do when she grows up. She's fairly independent except for mealtime. She will only feed herself when her daddy at home for dinner, otherwise she will eat extremely slow and grandma or myself will hve to feed her. Bathing is also one of her independent routine but we still check on her. As for enrichment classes, we have stopped her ballet classes and my intention was for her to explore her music interest. I'm still currently sourcing for a music programme that could build her music foundation.

Shopping & Splurges in Japan

GLEAMING GOLD... I grabbed this Baby-G at the Gotemba Premium Outlet near Hakone for less than 10,000Yen (ard 9,800Y). Thought it's quite a steal and it's sold only in Japan. I don't see this anywhere in S'pore.
Bag: An Agnes b glossy black bag for only 14.7kY (work round to ard less than S$240), pix to post up later.. I totally love it and used it for work... be it for casual OR formal. Bought the blink bag charm too.
Shoes: 2 pairs of covered heels The quality's good... spotted 1 pair is labelled Made in China while the other is Made in Japan. A pair of Puma flats from Gotemba Outlet, uncomfortable... blister on my feet.
Accessories & scrunchy: bought fr Paris Kids... thnk I grabbed 10 of those items, costing only 315Y each which is a steal. You dun get this price in Spore. The shop is located at Takeshita Dori, 1st shop.

Japan Trip
333 m high up, fun fact: taller than Eiffel Tower
Japan is one of the holiday destination that I've always looking forward to... love the fOOd, cULtuRe and most of all the sights (Sakura), not forgetting shopping of cos! We shelved our trip to Japan since last year as hb was taking a course and could'nt find time to go. I read up alot about the land of the rising sun before embarking on our holiday. We stayed in Tokyo, Hakone and Yokohama for a total of 9 days. And this time round, we didn't bring sher along for the trip as it involved a lot of legwork... walking, tons of them!!
Sakura blooming.. pretty in pink @ Imperial Palace
I was hoping that we could go Japan again next year during spring, then we will definitely bring Sher along next round. Intending to cover Osaka and visit hb's aunt in Matsuyama as we opt-ed out for this trip as time permits. I love spring mainly because of the pretty cherry blossom, we went late March and caught the transition of the season from Winter to Spring. The weather was cold... hovering between 9-12degree. The plus point was we didn't sweat at all, like we were in a super cold air-condition place all day. Saw a few trees beaming with sakura, if it's the full bloom.. it shld b lovely! I shall blog more about my trip once I have time... till later!
