Hot {Hort Park}
With the above title, you can imagine how "hot" the park is, both physically and its popularity. I was quite impressed by Hort Park actually... with its concept of introducing gardening in a new way and promoting eco-living. The different mini-theme of gardening from various parts of the world can be found within the premises. And not forgetting the various play area that the kids could have fun at!
We had a mini-outdoor gathering among us and also the 1st outdoor event. Hope to see more of you guys and we could plan more future events like these, quite encouraging. Like I always pre-empt Sher on upcoming activities, she was aware that we were going to Hort Park the previous night. She woke up herself without the usual fuss that she displayed on school going days. We shared a cab with E & her boy, R to the park. The sun was shining bright and compared to yesterday, it was just the opposite... HOT HOT HOT!!!
Anyway, it was free and easy as we explored among ourselves within the park. There's even a mock up house showcasing how plants could be blend into the home environment. Then it was a enduring half hour walk around the hot sun before we gave up and walked back to the sheltered area.
Overall, I would love to visit with our family again but definitely, during evening or early morning! :D

New Look-Hairstyle

Look at my darling new hairstyle suited her to a T, intended long ago to bring her for a new haircut.
It happened we were around the neighbourhood and brought her to the hair saloon, look cool and neat. She was very co-operative and wanted to cut her hair without much persuasion. Took the stylist instruction well and did what she was told, haircut took less than 10 minutes.
Let's hope she grow more hair as she's got very fine baby hair.

Sick yet again...
Over the weekend, Sher's fallen ill again.. battling a fever, running nose & cough on Saturday. Her voice turned hoarse as a result. I managed to sleep at 3am and woke up to sponge her at 5am. Her temperature soared to 38degree and hovers around there. Ended up sponging her for a gd half hour before turning in.
On Sunday morning, sunshine woke up at 9+ with no signs of fever and feeling very energetic. I'm left with panda eyes and I also caught the I'm glad that she's better, I'd rather be the one suffering. Contemplating to switch her formula milk. Will this improve her immune system, I wonder?

We celebrated our wedding anniversary over last weekend at the Amara Sanctuary Resort in Sentosa. Managed to book a Courtyard Suite to spend the weekend, hoping to feel recharged & refreshed as we did not have any travel plans this year due to hb's ongoing study assignments & exams, always having to meet numerous deadlines. The mood was slightly dampened as we collided with a taxi while reversing our car as the wait was taking too long at the admission counter to Sentosa Gateway and we wanted to drive over to another counter. The ongoing taxi accelerated as we reversed our car and the accident happened. There's a slight scratch on the taxi and the driver demanded us to pay S$200. Refused to let this matter get into our high spirit, hb just wanted this matter to rest and agreed. Our car looked more badly dented but we didn't feel the impact and was shocked by the outcome. But amazingly, the next day, the dent didn't look as bad and I thought we might need a little touch-up and it will look as good as new.
We checked into the courtyard suite which comprises a jacuzzi at the backyard garden and took a dip while enjoying the snacks that was provided. Shervon was very much excited and we soaked in for an hour or more before showering and deciding on our dinner plans. Took a bus down to Siloso Beach and had our dinner at Sakae Izuyaki. We missed Songs of the Sea showtime and only watched from afar the fireworks display. Both of my precious seem tired and we decided to take a stroll back to the hotel, on our way, we passed by Imbiah station, the Merlion Statue.

Sweet Tooth

Received a pack of Hokey Pokey compliments of Cherville from her Sydney trip. I was totally bought over by this pack of dark chocolate w honeycomb fillings.. It was simply divine. We brought this along for our weekend trip and everyone enjoyed it to bits. We ate it fast that it finished almost immediately and I still crave for it like crazy! Who knows where to get a pack?

Sick again...
Fatigue hit me like a sack as sher fell sick on last thur, which also happened to be my mum's bday. We intended to have a dinner after work to celebrate for her, but it didn't happen as planned. In the end, I had to rush home and bring sher to the family doctor again. It happened in the morning when sher complained of tummyache and puked when she went in school. FIL had to bring her to the clinic and to nip the vomitting.. dr inserted a suppositary from the back. Throughout the 2 days, her stomach held no food and fever came too on friday. To prevent her from dehydration, I fed her with Pedialyte. With the exams and project deadline around the corner, hubby was deeply engrossed with his own studies. I was left to handle the poor girl crankiness and illness. By Sat, her fever got cleared but she was still lethargic and was lying around, unlike her normal active self. Then diarrhoea tormented her. Seems like this is the worst hit of the virus and lookin at her reducing to bones was more heartwrenching than anything else. On Sunday, she seem better and could eat slightly more and the road of recovery looked all bright. I prayed that my sunshine will get well in no time and be as active as before. Labels: blog

The Rainbow Fish
Let the show begin! Sher along w WenzelSchool was closed to celebrate teacher's day. I was on leave & took the opportunity to bring Shervon to watch a Musical Play, titled "The Rainbow Fish". Below is the story outline and I find it entertaining for the whole family. As the colours bring LIVE to the whole experience while the luminous costume glowed against the pitch black stage. And overall, there's even a morale to the whole story. TO Have Inner Beauty too... not just the outside.
After the play, Shervon related the story to me, seems like she grasp the morale of the story. Later on, we met up with Ade for some r&R and dinner at sushi-tei.
Story Outline:Rainbow Fish is beautiful, but she's not perfect. She is so proud of her beautiful glittery scales that she becomes very vain. Her attitude hurts the feelings of her friends, who one by one turn their backs on her. She finds herself isolated and alone, and has to learn the hard way about pride and selfishness. In the process she learns the power of generosity and humility… but has to battle against some big and scary monsters of the deep on the way. Based on Marcus Pfister’s award winning storybook, Rainbow Fish is told in a magical mixture of black light, lively and refreshing music and fishy mayhem! There will be something for everyone here – a fun and lively story, with colourful characters for the young ones, an interactive and funny script for the older ones; and a lesson for all – young or old. Come and join the host of fishy creatures in a wonderful underwater world created for you in a musical presentation for the whole family!
