tired bday man
Assorted Sashimi Platter

Fried Unagi Toufu - Yummy
Saikoro Steak Set - Tender chucks which Hb ordered
Had a simple dinner celebration at Megumi Japanese restaurant... some shots taken of the bday man & of cos the mouth-watering food. It was my intention to bring him there after my pleasant experience the 1st time. Glad that he enjoyed it and this is another way to de-stress him from his studies... the fatigue is wearing my poor man as he's always studying till past 2-3am the past week to prepare for his paper. A few more months of hard work to complete his course! Jia You!!

Handmade Card for Teacher's Day
Went over to Charlene's place to sb, it's also my 1st attempt at the craft... such an amauteur like me was totally clueless initially, but I managed to pull through and made 4 cards in total. I will get Sher to write the teacher's name in the card. Bought donuts as snacks for the girls and they totally loved it. Labels: Crafts
The Good & The Bad
The past weekend was all about the Good & Bad behavior my darling displayed. I’m obviously proud of the good actions she’d shown. Nevertheless, I need to re-look at improving my parenting skills so that I could have the respect that every parent should have. I was frustrated especially when she ignored my instructions given to her. Or she’s trying to push the limit that I have set most of the TIMES.
Just a recap of the good she displayed… I was pleasantly surprised when she said, “Thank you” to the service lady at MOS burger when she cleared our trays after we finished our meals before we headed to her ballet class yesterday. Usually, I will have to remind her to say thank you. But, she took initiative yesterday. And this was what we have been emphasizing to her about being polite. I never forgot to praise her for her good manners. Well done, darling!
About the Bad… It happened yesterday too, after we came back from her ballet class too. It seemed she was tired and she refused to answer me when I asked her whether she would like to eat something. She just gave me an obstinate look that got my temper flaring. I need to find ways to reinforce my message across to her and not having people around to cause this disruptive discipline. I do not want to use the rod often but for the past 6 months, I resorted to this measure to make my point. My orders are usually fallen into deaf ears especially with Shervon. She knows that she got ‘rescuers’ who will throw a lifeline for her and always at her worst behavior around them. There are also times when I was practically being ignored when I gave my instructions to her, like I was talking to a wall. This whole episode caused pent-up frustration for me while I am looking at parenting tips to help me though this period. This parenting article caught my attention. I have been procrastinating to do.. creating a reward chart to enforce good behavior, need to step-up on this.. Labels: Parenting
What a Wonderful Day

My 1st time dabbling with virtual scrapbooking, this is my most favourite photo at the moment. Just looking at this photo makes my day! Children are definitely easy to please, that explains the > nos of laughter than a normal adult experience. Ice-cream is her top favourite junk food and she loves strawberry & chocolate flavours.

Latebloomer
Little one is whining and not up on her appetite this past 2 weeks. As she's still teething and apparently her last 2 moolars are still trying to cut through her gums which caused her much discomfort and pain. The persistent cough doesn't help either.
Her weight seems to be fluctuating like a yo-yo, the moment she looks fleshier, then she'll be caught with stuff which we can't prevent.

Hi-Tea & Ice-Cream, Gals!
We were invited to Tanya's humble abode for high-tea session on a lazy afternoon.. look at the delish spread of pastry and lovely cupcakes. Of cos, the girls were thrilled and enjoyin each other's company. After which, we headed to Holland V and had our dinner of sushi before wrapping up with ice-cream for them.
We mums are definitely going to do another girls hang-out!
