Standing up for herself (Backdated post)
Tis incident happened more than 3 weeks ago and I kept telling myself never to forget blogging about it. It happened on the way to my mum place, Sher's grandma house. We took the train down my mum place and during one station, a 7YO boy entered the train and immediately sat between the seat of sher and another kid. Although both kids have a small space between them, but seriously, it's not a seat and he just sat w/o asking or anything. I was flabbergasted, Sher looked at me innocently, asking why this Kor kor was sitting on her seat. I told her to ask kor kor the question. Obviously, the mum of the boy was embarrassed and proceeded to apologise. She tried to ask her son to stand up but the boy refused and insisted on sitting.
Then, Sher asked the kor kor why he took her seat, the boy didn't reply him and continued playing with the other kid. Sher stood up and asked again, this time she raised her voice slightly "Kor Kor, why you sit on my chair?" The boy's mum then asked the boy to ask permission. Then, I asked sher again whether she wants to share her seat w Kor Kor and she obliged.
From this incident, I was relieved that she would be able to take care of herself when she start school next year.

You're 3!
Dear Darling,
how fast you have grown... you are now at a stage where you could hold a decent conversation & you never fails to amaze me with your respond. Bold is your middle name and you are inquisite to almost anything. Why, What & where are your favourite words at the moment. And you are one persistent girl who never stop till you got your answer. Mummy is also learning day-by-day together with you. Let us be patient with each other as you grow. I know patience is not a trait for Mummy but I'm willing to make changes for the better. Hope that the bonding will be stronger as each day passes. I love the way you bring smiles & laughter to all around you and brings us closer as family. The precious time you spent with Daddy, how you enjoyed our company. You inherited your Daddy's trait and loves numbers. As for alphabets, hope you could write your name as you will be going school soon. You are sensible girl and affectionate to all close to you, generous with your hugs & kisses.
You are our joy, our pride and our muse! I just want to tell you how much GOD, Daddy & Mummy LOVES you. Our wishes is to see you grow healthy, stay happy and always be sensible to others.
Love you always,
Daddy & Mummy

Shervon 3rd Birthday Bash
Backdated postShervon is officially 3 Years Old today and she knew about the party she's having. She got so excited and woke up very early. Luckily, helper & I had done up the decor on fri nite and I got more time to bake the cupcakes. Frosting was also done up previous night. Daddy was on duty (re-call 4 reservice) the prev night.. came back in the am, looking extremely tired. But, he still chipped in to help blow up the balloons and helped me putting them in the right places. I must say, "Thank you!!" to all those that have helped including sher's grandpa who went to collect the birthday cake at the mall and inflate the mylar balloons. To Jeanette, who volunteered to be the game organiser and the kids enjoyed it tremendously. To Cherville, who came early to help with the nitty-gritty ;P To Sharon, who came the prev nite to pass me the tier tray, the cupcakes complemented w the tray so well.. looked gorgeous! To Tina who volunteered to be the event photographer (Dun forget to pass me the beautiful pixs) Thanks, pals. If not, I'll be swarmed by 101 items.
There's so much stuff which I had prepared earlier like the goodie bags for the kids. And I actually converted Sher's room to a playground, toys were rented - ie, Playhouse which comes with swing & slide, crab see-saw and the inflatable ball-pit. I don't mind having another playgroup to let the kids enjoy it again. The study room was also converted to the games rm.
Ben-wei & Ben-yi were the 1st guests who arrived with their mummy. As they could'nt come to the party later, they dropped by for awhile with gift for Shervon and played together. Ashlynne arrived early with her parents too, affectionate shervon was showing her little guests to the playroom and she enjoyed being the star of the day! Many guests were delayed by the bad weather, but the atmosphere was awesome... The kids seem to be having so much fun and I must say the party's a blast!
At 5pm, we had the cake-cutting and Sher was gleaming while all sang birthday song. (She was singing to herself the bday song the moment her eyes open) I also ordered the pooh bear jelly which had many good feedback. Thank you to all the guests that came, the warm gifts & well-wishes. I was glad that everything was as planned and all turned out fantastic!!
