little princess diary

Our mini Mid-Autumn Celebration
We had our own celebration for Mid-Autumn Festival. Last night, Sher had fun with her cousins, Aloysious & Alvin playing lantern and fireworks. Hubby & I promised Shervon that we allow her to play lantern provided she's in her best behaviour.
As usual, the kids had loads of fun playing with 'fire' esp. The sparkling fireworks proved to be a hit while the paper lantern took a backseat. Overall, it did jolt me of the days when I was young.. Overall, we wanted them to hve a gd time and well, it did! 中秋节快乐!Happy Mid-Autumn to ALL!
Most important, the spirit of Mid-Autumn is having the family reunited on this special day, in my translation. Labels: Occasion
Getting her to listen
Just getting sher to listen is a tall task esp now whereby she's seem so persistent to her ways. Tried many methods, be it the harsh and soft approach but non really work very much. Then, I thought of a reward scheme which earns her * if she puts on a gd behaviour.
Over the weekend, I hope to create a chart for tis 'reward scheme' maybe I could name tis little project "RAiNBOW" to get sher excited. I have told her my plans and it seems she can't wait to get started. Shall source for the crafts to get tis project started.

Why are you crying?
On last Saturday evening, I was watching a show and during one of the scene, the main character actually fell from the roof and hurt herself. I was so caught up that I cried with the family. Then Sher actually came up to me and ask "Mummy, I never do anything wrong.. why you crying ah?" She looked so innocently at me, asking me at point blunt that I bursted out laughing and hugged her tenderly.

HK Day 5 - Home sweet home
Finally, the trip was coming to an end. Started to pack our luggages to prepare for check out at noon. We got to savoured the congee which was extremely smooth. Hb had pig liver's while I had fish congee. The tour bus arrived at 1pm to take us to the airport. After checking in our luggages, we went for our last dim sum meal in hk within the terminal. The flight back to SG was much comfortable except that we experienced some turbulence and air pressure. sweetiepie pose, xcept for the leg...

HK Day 4 - Leisure Shopping
I was totally exhausted by the 4th day bt both hubby & me had planned for a visit to the salon to do hair coloring and highlight. We walked around the nearby street till we stumbled on one that we felt comfortable going in. The hairstylist was nice to make suggestions. And we waited for the 'makeover' ... a total of 3 hours (dozed off while waiting), mine took a longer time. By the time we were out of the salon, it's ard 4pm. Had our lunch at a charsiew stall which is highly recommended by the stylist. The charsiew and bbq pork was really fat.. ohh.. it was sinfully goood.
Our initial plan was to meet up the rest of the group but when we reached Fa Yuen Street, but it's difficult with the crowds and we gave up the idea and shop on our own instead. I really love walking through night market, jostling with the crowd asides. I had many gd buys that included Sher's swimwear, lot of tops and Guinot product at half price. Both of us loved tis to bits.... also had smelly toufoo (hb fav, he ate a total of 4). We got back to the hotel and met the rest for Supper yet again.

We went to Yee Shun Milk Company

HK Day 3 - Crazy Shopping
Day 3 was a more relaxing day as we agreed to meet at 11.30am for brunch at the nearby hk cafe. We ordered the stocking milk tea and I had my toast w peanut butter (still prefer TOASTBOX here), ham & sunnyside up. The rest of the guys had hor fun, macaroni soup and more breakfast set. We filled our tummy so that we could put it to gd use later.. Then shopping began, we walked down to Tsim Sha Tsui as some wanted to shop at LV.
We passed by Harbour City and saw ...
cool right... the canvas tt hve the latest LV monogram, resembling a luggage

Then we headed to DFS but my purse-strings were tight for more shopping later.. :P We took a train down to Lai Chi Kok for more shopping, found mny items there which I could'nt resist buying. I even bought couple of costume jewellery w swarkwski crystal at half price. Shop selling items at promotion. This is the place where I spent most of my $$$. Dinner was at one of the Teochew restaurant within Cheung Sha Wan. We had a 8-course meal and it was indeed satisfying, then it's more walking again.. we walked all the way down to Sham Shui Po where the guys wanted to check out the electronic gadget at Golden Computer Arcade. Hubby bought a thumbdrive which is dirtcheap, mybe ard 5SGD or lesser. Then, we walked all the way back to hotel and drop our spree items and went over for supper cum foot massage nearby Mongkok. Supper was always the last itinerary of the day. We had da pai dong near mongkok before headin for a foot massage which came at the right time as all of us were totally exhausted.

HK Day 2 - DisneyLand

We started off our day w dim sum at a restaurant next to Shamrock Hotel (which recvd gd review thru web forum). Overall, price was reasonable and food was abv average. Only downside is, not much variety, plus it's also a seafood restaurant serving other specialty. Then, we debated whether to take a cab or mtr down to disney. Majority chose takin a cab and the cost for each cab is avg HKD180, can take max 5 people. Once we arrived disney, Sher got all excited, ran and fell hurting her knee. All was forgotten when she saw the Mickey water fountain and posed for the camera. Tickets for disney including all rides except for food and drinks. Overall, it's meant for small kids like sher who enjoyed the rides. We literally covered almost the whole park, that includes tomorrow Land, Fantasy Land and Adventure land. Had a quick dinner within the park afterwhich we took an adventure boat ride, featuring the wilds of the jungle. Firework display commenced at 8pm during weekdays and we got settled before the sleeping beauty castle to watch the spectacular. Everyone was so captivated by tis segment esp Sher who was awfully quiet and sat through the show. Totally engrossed... Then, it's time for some last min shopping before we headed back via mtr to hotel.

HK Day 1 - Part II (Night Tour)
fter we checked-in and dropped our luggages, we headed to the lobby and got ready for our nite tour. We were met and greeted by the guide, boarded the same mini-bus and picked a few more tourists before our dinner destination. Dinner was so-so incl roasted goose, fried salted prawn, veggie n mre veggie... We then headed to Victoria peak, unfortunately, we didn't had a chance to take the peak tram as guide told us the queue is exggerating long... n we managed to trail up in the mini-bus within the next hour.
Once we reached Victoria Peak, we were greeted by slight showers bt it was shortlived and although the outlook was hazy, mny people were shooting at the scenery. We then proceeded to Madame Tussaud's wax museum and got to pose w mny celebrities.. including our own SMM, LKY. The next stop of our tour was at the Avenue of Stars at TST, took some nitescene shots and then boarded the open-top doubledecker bus. It was a different experience and a way to view HK vibrant nite street w the flashing neon signages. I must say the city is really bustling even till midnight as it's still crowded at tis time. We ended the night shopping at ladies street and of cos, with supper - wanton noodle nearby our hotel (tad disappointment.. soup super salty).

HK Day 1 - Part I
Had a winkie the previous nite before wakin up at 5am to prepare sher 4 the trip, she was quite co-operative and woke up w/o much fuss. I gave her milk and proceed to shower her, then we got set to leave for airport.

missy all prepared, ready to go!

Changi airport-missy insisted on takin w the sunflowers
It was gd timing as we arrived and have the luxury for a slow breakfast at breeks! before checking in at 9.50am on CX 736. Think we were the last batch to board the plane as there's no1 ard in the waitin area.. I must say the flight was disappointing, in-flight entertainment was hvg problems for the 1st half hr and Sher was gettin bored. I requested for a few items and air-stewardess was bsy to bring it over... ended up w a cranky kid. Luckily she slept durin the 2nd half of the journey... n I enjoyed some silence.

Enjoying the scenary on top
We arrived in HK ard 2.30pm and by the time we checked out & took our luggages, it was already closing to 4pm. Met the travel agent and took a mini-bus bck to our hotel at Jordan. The agent was askin us whet we would like to join the nite tour which includes those places which I have planned in my itinerary and so we took the tour pkg as it's still within our budget and saved us time. For 320HKD, tour included a 7 course meal - dinner w roasted goose, to Victoria peak, madame tussard, visit Ave of Stars then trawled ard hk street in opened top double-deck bus and the final destination will be ladies street for shopping. So we decided to go ahead w the tour which will picked us up at 5.30pm. The hotel room was extremely small, not for the castrophobic..bt mst importantly, the room is spartan clean.

Passed by tis restaurant upteen times, but seriously no chance to eat there... heard food is gd!
